[DAY 84 OF THE DEEP END PROJECT]
I have a question for you, how many of you start something in your business with an assumed No.
Let me explain;
You have a sales call. Right before you get on it, you assume that the person is going to say No.
You convince yourself why you aren’t the right person for the job or you are too expensive or too inexperienced?
Or, when you launch a course or a program, you assume that no one’s going to buy it.
“They won’t love the webinar”
“My tech will fail”
“Why would they buy from me?”
How many of you plan for failure, instead of success?
I walked into a book store today. A mom and a son (probably a high schooler), were staring at a book.
The boy picked one and the mom retorted “you won’t read it!!!”
His face fell and he kept the book back.
The book he picked was “Atomic Habits”
One of the best books I’ve read on building habits btw.
He may have read the book, he may have not.
I guess his mom will never know now.
She assumed a No, which led to him believing in his failure even before he tried.
We all do this.
God knows I’ve done it – with my kids, with myself.
So how about we flip the script?
Assume a Yes!!
When you get on a sales call, when you launch a program, when you hit LIVE?
How will you show up if you assume a yes, if you believe it’s gonna be a success?
P.S – I have a tried and tested mantra I use to get me into the mindset of success before a sales call. I share it in this Sales Guide I created for you
The Outcome is affected by your Actions
Your Actions are affected by your Thoughts
In the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson
“Sow a thought and you reap an action; sow an act and you reap a habit; sow a habit and you reap a character; sow a character and you reap a destiny.”
Yes? What thoughts are you sowing today?
