What is a Rich Lady Behavior & Why do you need it?

[DAY 46 OF THE DEEP END PROJECT]

There’s one thing I deeply believe in –  Rich Ladies Don’t Chase.

What do they not chase?

Anything they desire.

Money

Love

Health

Enlightenment

Success

Opportunities

Anything.

Instead, they magnetize what they desire towards themselves.

This isn’t a magic trick or a witchy spell.

It is a way of life for a woman who knows exactly who she is. She is undoubtedly aware of her value, her beauty and her worthiness.

She has this unfuckwithable confidence in herself.

She knows the rooms she lights up with her presence.

She is completely accepting of every inch of her body, her curves, her cellulite, her freckles, her stretch marks – ALL OF IT!

And she knows in her core that her worthiness isn’t attached to either the money in her bank account or the accolades and awards.

She is worthy, just for being.

That is A Rich Lady.

She magnetizes what she desires just by being.

But of course most of us don’t feel this way on a daily basis.

We don’t feel worthy, we don’t feel magnetic and it takes one zit or one bagel with cream cheese to fall “out” of love with our body.

Thus, Rich Lady Behaviors.

I introduced this concept to my audience about 2 years ago and since then it has caught on, as it should!

On a weekly basis, I get at least 2-3 messages from my community telling me about the Rich Lady Behaviors they indulged in.

That makes me extremely happy. I want everyone to know about this.

But before I go into much detail about what is RLB (short for Rich Lady Behavior), first a much needed explanation:

Why RICH? Why not Wealthy?

One of the most common things I hear from women when they hear “Rich Lady” is “Well, I don’t want to be Rich. I want to be wealthy.”

So let me break this down for you:

Merriam Webster defines Rich as having abundant possessions and especially material wealth

And it defines Wealthy as one who has an abundance of valuable material possessions or resources

So I say to all those women who scrunch up their noses at Rich  – IT’S THE SAME THING!!

It’s also worth noting that this is where “culture” plays a big role. The words might mean the same, but the meaning we give to these words are so different.

But let’s keep going.

Merriam Webster also gives a 2nd and 3rd definition to the word “Rich”

Having high value or quality, a rich chocolate cake

Well supplied or endowed,  a city rich in traditions

Magnificently impressive, what a rich architecture

On the other hand, Wealth is further defined as :

Abundant supply

All property that has a money value or an exchangeable value

All material objects that have economic utility

I don’t know about you but when I think of myself as a property or something that has an economic value, my blood starts to boil a little!!

Maybe it’s because I am from India, where girls are seen as property and something to exchange.

But most of all, when I get to the age of 80 and I look back at my life, I certainly would want to have lived a Rich Life and not just a Wealthy life.

A life that is full of high quality experiences, full of love and laughter and a life that is well lived.

Yes, money is a part of it, but it’s not it.

So that’s why Rich Lady Behaviors and not Wealthy Lady behaviors.

I want you to not just focus on gaining more material possessions and you my dear are certainly not a thing to be exchanged. There’s no value that can be put on you. You are priceless.

I want you to have “living a Rich Life” as your guiding force in every decision you make.

And besides, “Rich Lady Behavior” is way more catchy than “Wealthy Woman Behaviors” which sounds more like a description of people working at Wall Street.

What is Rich Lady Behavior?

Now we know that a Rich Lady isn’t someone who only possesses material wealth but has so much more than that. She is Rich from the inside-out.

Like a rich chocolate cake isn’t just made of chocolate. It’s the combination of flour, eggs, sugar, milk, and chocolate. It’s set in perfect layers and baked at the right temperature so that when you eat it, you can fully immerse yourself in the richness of it.

Mmmmm…..so good!

A Rich Lady Behavior is what enforces that inside-out richness. It reminds us of who we are (because all it takes is an Instagram scroll sesh to forget that!).

It asks us to always embody the sovereignty of who we are.

A mid-day nap reminds me that I am not a machine. I love my body and thus I give it rest whenever I want, not when my work dictates.

A gorgeous silk robe against my skin makes me come alive. Whenever I wear it, I feel like a goddess emerging from her Palace. There’s no way I can feel unworthy when I am wearing my teal color with hand painted lotus silk kimono

Hiring a makeup artist for a televised event may feel like a splurge but it saves me time and stress of getting ready so that I can be in my element and impact thousands of viewers.

A Rich Lady Behavior is anything you do for yourself that uplifts you, elevates you and reminds you of the Goddess that you are!

Here are some examples of RLB’s I’ve heard from my clients/friends and even their husbands:

  • Locking my room and watching Harry Potter with a big bowl of ice cream
  • Packing my own sandwich because I love the way I cut it
  • A spa day
  • Hiring a cleaner
  • Hiring a Virtual Assistant
  • Saying NO to a difficult family member
  • Going for therapy
  • Wearing lipstick
  • Throwing out my torn underwear
  • Splurging on a new pair of running shoes
  • Painting my nails red
  • Sleeping in till 11 am on Sunday
  • Slow sex
  • Speaking to my grandmom
  • Taking a solo vacation
  • Finally forgiving my mom
  • Signing up for a Martial Arts class (this one’s from my husband!)

As you can see, anything can be a RLB. Anything. If it aids in you living a Rich and fulfilling life, that’s a RLB.

One RLB uplifts you for a day.

A lot of RLB’s makes you magnetic.

Because Rich ladies don’t chase.

They magnetize the things they desire just by being.

Tell me, what are the RLB’s you’ll indulge in this week?
